However, like any other technology, variators have their own certain disadvantages, in particular, the high cost of maintenance and the complexity of repair, the inability to use with large-volume engines. It is also necessary to take into account the dependence of the reliability of such transmissions on the regularity and correctness of the service, therefore, it is by no means recommended to save on maintenance.
